For many of you, whether you are in middle school, high school, or even college, school is now out. Congrats on another year finished! Summer has begun, and this is a fantastic time to relax and spend quality time with your friends and family. Although it’s great to have a week or so to take a break from school, you should definitely plan out your three months wisely.
Make a schedule to organize what you want to do week to week. Not having structure can be frustrating (for both you and your parents–if you plan to stay home all summer), so try to be constructive and do something you like. For example, you can:
-Attend a sports camp (daytime or sleep-away)
-Conduct research for a topic you are passionate about
-Take classes at a local college
-Work at a job or internship
-Enroll in competitions
-Create an app
-Write a book
-Do community service for a good cause
These are just some options, but pick something you’re passionate about. Then, write down your goals and how you plan on achieving them. Whatever you do, make sure you consistently have balance: keep your brain and body active, and help others as much as possible.
